The reader asks, " Are pay-per-click methods the only available streams of income for a blog? Are there any other methods?"

Blogging online for money is NOT limited only to pay-per-click ads to make a profit. There are so many various ways that you can make a profit online that bloggers use. You can always find new methods. Like all streams of income, generated revenue depends greatly on site traffic. Here are a few other non-pay-per-click methods that you can use.

Although many types of generated income require a high amount of site traffic, there is also another thing that you need. You need credibility, the ability for readers to trust and believe what they are reading. If all you tell them is lies from time to time, how can the fully trust you on a product you are selling? This leads to a stream of income called affiliate marketing. This type of affiliate marketing is selling products for a percentage of the generated revenue. In order for this to work successfully, you have to tell readers your true opinions on your posts. Don't hold back, allow readers to comment on your posts and tell you how THEY think of it. Your posts don't say anything if your lying to make it sound good.

As we slide back onto the topic of affiliate marketing products, we learn that credibility is very important when selling products. When you sell products, make sure that it is something that you really approve of, not some random item you found while browsing on ClickBank and thought that it provided a good commission. If you are trying to make money, look for something you know about or own, and advertise it. That way, customers who buy the products and like it will come back to your site to see what else you have in store for them.

The second source of income doesn't directly involve advertisement. Sure, you can advertise it all over your site, but this source of income relies solely on credibility and the quality of your work. Can you guess what it is? This source of income I am talking about are DONATIONS! These are different from the other sources of income because donations are simply made by people who love and appreciate your work, hoping for you to continue. If you are not loved by you readers, you will not recieve any donations. Another thing about donations is that if you want them, and you know that your readers like your work, consider placing a tab or box referring to donations. Readers need someone to remind them of this option, so don't hide it in a corner for someone to find. There is nothing embarrassing about it!

Now that you have information on these multiple types of income for your blog, there is no excuse for trying all of them out. Good luck!
