The reader asks, "So many people make blogs on the internet. Some say that they make money off of it. How is this possible?"

As readers browse through various blogs to get information on certain things they are interested in, the most important idea is that the blog has information on what the reader needs. The interests of the reader, may it be for a research project, affiliate marketing, gaming, home improvement, or whatever he/she needs, they are attempted to be met by bloggers who spend their time on trying to improve their sites for daily visitors. Whether it is by content, looks, organization, or even style, there is no doubt that all bloggers need to be dedicated to their blog in order for them to be successful. Through all these hours of dedication, some bloggers are also working their way to a not-so-secret objective: To make money.

A blog, simply, just has posts created by an author who is interested in a subject, writing about it to express himself and to attract readers with the same interests as him. But we ask, " How is blogging going to make me money?"

The easiest and most common ways to make money online is by advertising. You may be advertising links, products, or websites, but the fact is, by advertising for other people, you can make a big amount of money. Most of these streams of income are provided through a seller, who ask the affiliates to promote products for a percentage of the generated revenue. These types of streams of income are used by almost everyone, since they are the most simple to use.

In blogging, there are many ways that you can earn money. The first way of advertisement I will write about is Google Adsense. Have you ever gone onto someone's blog, looking for information, when you see links listed on the sides of the page? These are called banner ads, and they are supported by Google. When you register for Adsense, you place these on your blog and whenever someone clicks it, you gain a small amount of money. This type of profit is good for early blogging, but is not always the best. For example, if a person was going through blogs looking for information, would he/she want to see random links interfering with the text? Certainly not. Because of this factor, bloggers have to keep in mind the reader's perspective and make wise decisions on where to put the Adsense links. Some just don't put it on their blog.

Another form of advertisement is text-linked ads. Text-linked ads are subscriptions to a site for a fixed rate amount in exchange for the link of your site to be on the a list for advertisers to promote. The advertiser then advertises these links, which they earn money from by pay-per-click. An advantage of this type of advertisement is that it allows a person to advertise using text links that look like search results and not advertisements. It also allows a blogger to be able to control what types of advertisements he/she wants on his/her site. A disadvantage of using this type of advertisement is that there is a very strong competition for good search links.

These two types of advertisements are use by bloggers worldwide. Like all advertisements, the more site traffic you have the more money you will make. In the next post, I will explain more about in detail about various types of advertisement and more advanced techniques. Good Luck!
